Removal

2GR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

3. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET (for Front Side) Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 wire harnesses from the clamp.





(b) Disconnect the 2 heated oxygen sensor connectors.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket (for Rear Side).





(d) Remove the 4 bolts, 4 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly.





(e) Remove the 3 gaskets from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

6. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1) Removal

7. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.





(b) Remove the gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.





8. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2) Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.





11. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY

(a) Remove the bolt, nut and No. 2 manifold stay.





12. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.





(b) Remove the gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
