2UZ-FE EMISSION CONTROL: AIR PUMP: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR PUMP BRACKET






(a) Install the pump to the No. 1 air pump bracket with the 3 air pump insulators.
(b) Install the clamp.
2. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE
3. INSTALL AIR PUMP INLET






(a) Install the air pump inlet with the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
NOTE: Fully the insert hose to the stoppers.

4. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2)






(a) Insert the slot over the stud and bracket tab into the slot (View A).
(b) Insert the bracket tab into the slot (View B).
(c) Install the 2 nuts and bolt.
- for bolt

Torque: 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
- for nut

Torque: 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)
5. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE






(a) Install the No. 2 air injection system hose as shown in the illustration.






(b) Connect the air pump assembly connector.
(c) Connect the 2 clamps.






(d) Install the fender apron seal with the 2 clips.
6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH






(a) Install the front fender liner RH with the 9 clips.
7. INSTALL AIR PUMP BRACKET






(a) Install the air pump bracket, 3 insulators and 3 collars with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
8. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)






(a) Install the air pump assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the air pump assembly connector.
9. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE






(a) Install the No. 1 air injection system hose as shown in the illustration.
10. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new O-ring to the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly.
(b) Apply soapy water to the O-ring.






(c) Push in the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly.
(d) Connect the water by-pass pipe sub-assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)
(e) Connect the connector clamp.
11. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD Installation

13. INSTALL FUEL RETURN TUBE Installation

14. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE Installation

15. CONNECT VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY Installation

16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY Installation

17. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

18. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection

19. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Replacement

20. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

21. INSTALL FRONT COWL TOP OUTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

22. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY Installation

23. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

24. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH Installation

25. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH Installation

26. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

27. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation
