Rear Side Door Window Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Position the window half way down.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the rear door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
5. Remove the rear door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).




6. Remove the bolts (1, 2) which secure the window to the window regulator.
7. Rotate the window and remove the rear door window from the rear door.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the rear door window to the rear door.

1. Position the rear door window to the rear door between the inner and the outer panels.
2. Point the lower front corner of the rear door window down and pass the rear door window through the belt opening.
3. Align the edges of the rear door window with the rear door window weather-strip.
4. Rotate the rear door window to a horizontal position.
5. Align the holes in the rear door window with the holes in the rear door window regulator.
Ensure that the window clips are seated on the regulator carrier plate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Important: First install the bolt which secures the forward rear door window to the rear door window regulator.


2. Install the bolts (1, 2) which secure the rear door window to the rear door window regulator.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

Important: Ensure that both sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downwards. If this condition is present the rear door window will not raise properly.


3. Install the rear door window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
4. Install the rear door window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
5. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
