Thermostat Housing: Service and Repair

Coolant Thermostat Housing

- Remove the air filter housing.





- Disconnect the connector from the engine coolant temperature sensor -G62-.





- Disconnect the coolant hoses at the positions indicated by the -arrows-.





- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

- Swing the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) system hose bracket forward.





- Remove the bolt -arrow- at the wiring harness bracket.

Caution: Press the coolant pipe in the direction of the coolant pump using a pry bar when removing the coolant thermostat housing so that is not pulled off.





- Remove the coolant thermostat housing -2- while pressing the coolant pipe -1- toward the coolant pump with a pry bar.

Installation

- Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

- For the correct tightening specifications. Locations

- Fill with new coolant. Service and Repair
