2UZ-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG
(a) Install the radiator drain cock plug to the radiator assembly.
2. INSTALL OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Install the outlet radiator hose to the radiator assembly.






3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Set the radiator bracket hooks to the radiator support holes.
(b) Install the radiator with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)






4. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL
(a) Install the No. 1 radiator to support seal with the 3 clips.






5. CONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Connect the outlet radiator hose.
6. INSTALL FAN SHROUD (w/ Trailer Towing System)
(a) Install the fan pulley to the water pump.
(b) Place the fan shroud together with the fluid coupling fan between the radiator and engine.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the radiator core.

(c) Install the fluid coupling fan to the water pump with the 4 nuts. Tighten the nuts as much as possible by hand.






(d) Attach the shroud claws to the radiator as shown in the illustration.
(e) Install the shroud with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 6.5 Nm (66 kgf-cm, 58 in-lbf)






(f) Pass the 2 hoses through the flexible hose clamp and close the clamp as shown in the illustration.
HINT: Install hose clamp on center of white paint and install the lock section of the hose clamp into the stopper of the fan shroud.





(g) Connect the reservoir hose.
(h) Install the fan and generator V-belt Installation.






(i) Tighten the 4 nuts of the fluid coupling fan.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
7. INSTALL FAN SHROUD (w/o Trailer Towing System)
(a) Install the fan pulley to the water pump.
(b) Place the fan shroud together with the fluid coupling fan between the radiator and engine.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the radiator core.

(c) Install the fluid coupling fan to the water pump with the 4 nuts. Tighten the nuts as much as possible by hand.






(d) Attach the shroud claws to the radiator as shown in the illustration.
(e) Install the shroud with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 6.5 Nm (66 kgf-cm, 58 in-lbf)






(f) Connect the reservoir hose.
(g) Install the fan and generator V-belt Installation.






(h) Tighten the 4 nuts of the fluid coupling fan.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)






8. INSTALL INLET RADIATOR HOSE
(a) Connect the inlet radiator hose.
9. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/ Trailer Towing System)







11. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH (w/o Trailer Towing System)
(a) Install the deflector with the 6 clips.






12. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH
(a) Install the deflector with the 6 clips.
(b) Install the wire harness clamp.
13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
(a) Install the front bumper cover Installation.
14. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

15. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection

16. INSPECT FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK
17. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

18. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Replacement
