Rear Heat Duct Component Removal/Installation
REAR HEAT DUCT COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Rear Heat Duct No.1
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation
b. Front scuff plate inner Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation
c. Front side trim Front Side Trim Removal/Installation
d. Decoration panel Decoration Panel Removal/Installation
e. Front console box mat Front Console Box Mat Removal/Installation
f. Indicator panel Indicator Panel Removal/Installation
g. Front console box Front Console Box Removal/Installation
h. Dashboard under cover Dashboard Under Cover Removal/Installation
i. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation
j. Console panel Console Panel Removal/Installation
k. Console cover Console Cover Removal/Installation
l. Console Console Removal/Installation
m. Dust cover Service and Repair
3. Turn floor covering over. Service and Repair
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Rear heat duct No.2, No.3 and No.4
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Decoration panel Decoration Panel Removal/Installation
b. Front console box mat Front Console Box Mat Removal/Installation
c. Indicator panel Indicator Panel Removal/Installation
d. Front console box Front Console Box Removal/Installation
e. Dashboard under cover Dashboard Under Cover Removal/Installation
f. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation
g. Console panel Console Panel Removal/Installation
h. Console cover Console Cover Removal/Installation
i. Console Console Removal/Installation
j. Second-row seat Rear - Second-Row Seat Removal/Installation
k. Edge cover Long Slider Removal/Installation
l. Long slider cover Long Slider Removal/Installation
m. Third-row seat Rear - Third-Row Seat Removal/Installation
n. Trunk box
o. Seat side box Seat Side Box Removal/Installation
p. Trunk end trim Service and Repair
q. Third-row seat Rear - Third-Row Seat Removal/Installation
r. Rear scuff plate inner Rear Scuff Plate Removal/Installation
s. Third-row seat belt lower anchor installation bolt Third-Row Seat Belt Removal/Installation
t. Trunk side trim
3. Remove the two rear A/C unit retaining bolts on the rear side.
4. Turn floor covering over. Service and Repair
5. Remove the long slider. Long Slider Removal/Installation
6. Remove the fasteners.
7. Lift the rear side of the rear A/C unit and remove the rear heater duct No.2.
8. Remove the rear heat duct No.3.
9. Remove the rear heat duct No.4.
10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
When removing the rear heater duct No.3 only
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Second-row seat (LH) Rear - Second-Row Seat Removal/Installation
b. Edge cover Long Slider Removal/Installation
c. Long slider cover Long Slider Removal/Installation
3. Cut away the floor covering as shown in the figure.
NOTE:
- The cut part does not need to match up when installing the floor covering.
4. Turn floor covering over.
5. Remove the rear heat duct No.3.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
When removing the rear heater duct No.4 only
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Second-row seat (RH) Rear - Second-Row Seat Removal/Installation
b. Edge cover Long Slider Removal/Installation
c. Long slider cover Long Slider Removal/Installation
3. Cut away the floor covering as shown in the figure.
NOTE:
- The cut part does not need to match up when installing the floor covering.
4. Turn floor covering over.
5. Remove the rear heat duct No.4.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
