Chart F "Traction Engaged" Indicator Inoperative With No DTC's Set:

TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.
1. Checks for blown "I/P INDC #11" fuse causing inoperative indicator.
2. Replaces fuse, then checks for other indicators fed from CKT 39 as working properly. If not, CKT 39 to the instrument cluster is open.
3. Checks "TRACTION ENGAGED" bulb itself.
4. Checks for open in CKT 1656 between EBTCM and instrument cluster.
5. Checks for short to B+ on CKT 1656 causing inoperative bulb.
6. Checks if problem is within instrument cluster circuitry, due to intermittent wiring or connections, or due to a malfunctioning EBTCM.
7. Checks for short to ground in CKT 39 which blows fuses.
8. Checks for proper "TRACTION ENGAGED" lamp operation after blown fuse replacement.
