DSG Mechatronic Assembly Overview





1 ATF drain plug

• Tightening specification => [ (Item 1) ATF drain plug ] Transmission Drain and Inspection Plug Assembly Overview

2 Oil seal

• Replace

3 Bolt

• Tightening specification and sequence => [ ATF oil pan, tightening specification and sequence ]

4 Clip

• For attaching the gasket to the ATF oil pan

• Not required for installation

5 Magnet

• Quantity: 2

• Insert into the depression in the ATF oil pan

• Ensure entire surface contacts oil pan

6 Bolt

• Replace

• Tightening specification and sequence => [ Mechatronic, tightening specification and sequence ]

7 Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic (J743)

• Refer to => [ DSG Mechatronic ] 0B5A Automatic Transmission

8 Mounting plate

• For ATF oil pipes

9 Bolt

• 10 Nm

10 O-Ring

• Replace

11 ATF oil pipes

• For connection - 15 -

12 O-Ring

• Replace

13 O-Ring

• Replace

14 Bolt

• 8 Nm

15 Connector piece

• For ATF pipes

16 ATF fill and inspection plug

• Tightening specification => [ (Item 4) ATF fill and inspection plug ] Transmission Drain and Inspection Plug Assembly Overview

17 Bolt

• 8 Nm

18 Connector housing

- Remove the bolt - 17 - and turn the connection housing counter-clockwise.

19 O-Ring

• Replace

20 Transmission housing

21 Wiring set

22 Bolt

• 8 Nm

23 ATF oil pipes

24 ATF oil pipes

25 O-Ring

• Replace

26 O-Ring

• Replace

27 ATF filter

28 Gasket

• Replace

ATF oil pan, tightening specification and sequence





- Tighten bolts in 2 stages as follows:

- Install bolts - arrows - hand-tight.

- Tighten bolts - 1 through 15 - diagonally and in steps to 10 Nm.

Mechatronic, tightening specification and sequence





- Tighten bolts to 10 Nm in - 1 to 6 - sequence.
