Wiring Harness

Removing

- Remove the mechatronic unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic Unit ] Service and Repair.

- Touch some grounded object (e.g. car, lifting platform) with your bare hand to discharge yourself of static electricity.

CAUTION!
Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing the mechatronic unit.

Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the mechatronic unit.

- Carefully pry the wiring harness - A - from the mechatronic unit - B -. At the same time, detach tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness from the mechatronic unit.





If the tab - arrow - on the backside of the wiring harness breaks off, the wiring harness must be replaced.

- Carefully unplug the connector - C - from the socket - D - of the mechatronic unit.

Installing

Install in the reverse sequence; note the following points:

- Carefully plug the connector - C - into the socket - D - of the mechatronic unit.

- Clip the wiring harness - A - onto the mechatronic unit - B -. At the same time, insert the tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness into the mechatronic unit.

- Install the mechatronic unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic Unit ] Service and Repair.
