Wiper Arm: Service and Repair

Windshield Wiper Arms

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Windshield wiper arm tool set (T10369)

Removing

• The hood must be closed if the windshield wiper will run during the procedure. Otherwise, the voltage supply to the wiper motors will be interrupted.

- Switch on ignition.

- Operate one-touch wiping and let wiper arms run to end position.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Using a screw driver, pry cover caps off wiper arms.





- Loosen the nut 2 several turns.

- Position the puller (T10369/2) on the wiper arm - 1 - as illustrated.





- Position the thrust piece - 2 - on the wiper axle.

- Rotate the bolt - 3 - clockwise until the wiper arm is removed from the axle.

- Remove the nuts and remove the wiper arm.

Installing

CAUTION!
There is a risk of damaging the body.

• The driver and passenger side wiper arms are different lengths.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Adjust wiper arms. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting ] Adjustments.
