Wiring Harness in Transmission
Removing
- Remove Mechatronic unit => [ Mechatronic ] Service and Repair.
- Touch some grounded object (e.g. car, lifting platform) with your bare hand to discharge yourself of static electricity.
CAUTION!
• Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing the Mechatronic unit.
• Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the Mechatronic unit.
- Carefully pry the wiring harness - A - from the Mechatronic unit - B -. At the same time, detach tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness from Mechatronics unit.
• If the tab - arrow - on the backside of the wiring harness breaks off, the wiring harness must be replaced => [ Wiring Harness in Transmission ] Service and Repair.
- Carefully disconnect connector - C - from the socket - D - of the Mechatronic unit.
Installing
Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:
- Carefully connect connector - C - into the socket - D - of the Mechatronics unit.
- Clip wiring harness - A - onto Mechatronics unit - B -. At the same time, insert the tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness into the Mechatronics unit.
- Install Mechatronics unit => [ Mechatronic ] Service and Repair.
- Fill with ATF => [ ATF, Draining or Filling after Repair ] ATF, Draining or Filling After Repair.
