Fluid Filter - A/T: Service and Repair

Oil Filter

Removing

- Remove the oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the oil filter bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the oil filter - A - from the valve body.

Installing

- Lightly lubricate the seals on the oil filter suction collar with Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).

- If the seals are loose or damaged, the oil filter must be replaced.

- Install the oil filter - A - to the valve body and tighten the bolts - arrows -. Refer to => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications ] Fastener Tightening Specifications - Gears, Hydraulic Controls.





- Install the oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Add ATF, check the ATF level and top off if necessary. Refer to => [ Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling ] Automatic Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling
