2GR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
7. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the ventilation hose.

(b) Disconnect the hose clamp and union to check valve hose.
(c) Disconnect the connector and wire harness clamp.
(d) Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses and fuel vapor feed hose.
(e) Disconnect the connector from the intake air control valve assembly.
(f) Remove the bolt and vacuum hose clamp.
(g) Remove the bolt and separate the throttle body bracket from the intake air surge tank assembly.
(h) Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 surge tank stay from the intake air surge tank assembly.
(i) Remove the 2 nuts from the intake air surge tank assembly.
(j) Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts.
(k) Remove the intake air surge tank assembly and 3 gaskets.
10. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Engine Mounting stay Side) Removal
11. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Intake Manifold Side) Removal
12. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
13. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
14. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
(a) Remove the 6 bolts, 4 nuts and intake manifold.
