3UR-FE EMISSION CONTROL: AIR SWITCHING VALVE: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the exhaust manifold Removal.
2. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
(a) Remove the intake manifold Removal.
3. REMOVE INLET RADIATOR HOSE Removal
4. DISCONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE Removal
5. REMOVE FAN SHROUD (w/ Trailer Towing System) Removal
6. REMOVE FAN SHROUD (w/o Trailer Towing System) Removal
7. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
(a) Disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass joint and water inlet housing.
8. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
(a) Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass joint.
9. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS PIPE HOSE (w/ Trailer Towing System)
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the water by-pass pipe hose.
10. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
(a) Remove the No. 2 cylinder head cover.
11. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE CLAMP
(a) Disconnect the fuel tube clamp from the bracket.
12. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER
(a) Remove the No. 1 engine cover.
13. REMOVE FRONT WATER BY-PASS JOINT
(a) Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
(b) Remove the 4 nuts, front water by-pass joint and 2 gaskets.
14. REMOVE AIR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the No. 2 air injection system hose and No. 3 air injection system hose.
(b) Disconnect the electric air control valve connector.
(c) Disconnect the electric air control valve connector clamp holder.
(d) Using a clip remover, detach the wire harness claw.
(e) Remove the 2 bolts and air pipe.
(f) Disconnect the 2 No. 1 air hoses from the electric air control valve assembly.
15. REMOVE ELECTRIC AIR CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the knock sensor connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and bracket.
(c) Disconnect the 2 electric air control valve connectors.
(d) Remove the 3 bolts and electric air control valve assembly.
16. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR TUBE
(a) Remove the 2 bolts, No. 2 air tube and gasket.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the installation surface of the gaskets.
17. REMOVE NO. 3 AIR TUBE
(a) Remove the 2 bolts, No. 3 air tube and gasket.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the installation surface of the gaskets.
