Rear Folding Seat Back Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Fold down the left or right split folding seat back.




2. Open the J-retainer at the bottom edge of the split folding seat back.
3. Remove the outboard split folding seat back pivot screws.
4. Remove the outboard split folding seat back pivot from the seat back.
5. Remove the outboard split folding seat back from the split folding seat back support.




6. Place the split folding seat back on a clean, protected surface.
7. Remove the seat cover. Refer to Rear Folding Seat Back Cover Replacement (Rear Folding Seat Back Cover Replacement).
8. Remove the split folding seat back latch screws.
9. Reach between the split folding seat back pad and the split folding seat back cover to remove the split folding seat back latch.


Installation Procedure




1. Reach between the split folding seat back pad and the split folding seat back cover to install the split folding seat back latch.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the split folding seat back latch screws.

Tighten the seat back latch screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the seat back cover. Refer to Rear Folding Seat Back Cover Replacement (Rear Folding Seat Back Cover Replacement)
4. Place the split folding seat back into the split folding seat back support assembly.
5. Install the outboard split folding seat back pivot to the split folding seat back.
6. Install the outboard split folding seat back pivot screws.

Tighten the outboard split folding seat back pivot screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




7. Close the J-retainer at the bottom edge of the split folding seat back.
8. Fold up the left or right split folding seat back.
