Steering Wheel Inflator Module

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING THE SIR SYSTEM in SIR.





2. Use a flat-blade tool on the back side of the inflatable restraint steering wheel module in order to release the four leaf springs.
3. Pull on the module while the leaf springs are released.





4. Disconnect the electrical connections from the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.





5. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connections to the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
2. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module until it snaps into place.
3. Enable the SIR system. Refer to ENABLING THE SIR SYSTEM in SIR.
