Service Procedure & Campaign Identification Label
SERVICE PROCEDURE1. With the ignition in the "OFF" position, open hood and disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove instrument panel right sound insulator.
3. Pull bottom of PCM (Powertrain Control Module) away from mounting bracket and remove PCM from bracket.
4. Remove MEM-Cal access cover.
5. Remove MEM-Cal by using thumb and first finger. Gently squeeze each end of the blue calibrator unit.
6. Install new MEM-Cal into PCM.
7. Install PCM MEM-Cal access cover.
8. Install PCM into bracket.
9. Install right instrument panel sound insulator.
10. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
11. Perform on-board diagnostic system check. If DTC P0325, P1361, P1350, or P1623 occurs of it the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp), i.e. "Service Engine Soon" light is on constantly with no DTC's the MEM-Cal is not fully seated or is defective.
12. Install a Campaign Identification Label.
CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL
Each label provides space to print the campaign number and the five (5) digit retailer code of the retailer performing the campaign. Insert this information with a typewriter or ball-point pen. When installing label, clean and dry the surface of the radiator support tie bar and apply the campaign label where it is readily visible.
Each Campaign Identification Label is to be located on the radiator core support in an area which will be visible when the vehicle is brought in for periodic servicing by the owner.
