System Inspection
1. Remove the ECM.2. Connect the SSTs to the ECM.
3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and let it idle.
4. Position the vehicle on a chassis roller and shift the selector lever to D.
5. Check the torque reduced signal of the ECM terminal 1K.
6. Verify that the green and red lights flash when the shift up or down.
7. If not as specified, check the reduce torque signals No.1 and No.2 of the ECM terminals 1R and 1S.
8. If not as specified, inspect following.
^ ECM terminal voltages
3F (Throttle position sensor)
3G (Engine coolant temperature sensor)
4E, 4H (Crankshaft position sensor)
^ TCM
9. If not as specified, replace the ECM.
