Parking Brake Lever Mounting:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Raise the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
2. Loosen equalizer.
3. Front cable from connector at left rear cable.
4. Release cable from lever assembly.
5. Cowl side panel trim.
6. Cable from lever assembly. (1)
7. Lever assembly. (1)
8. Front four screws on step trim plate.
^ Lift rocker panel trim and peel back carpet to expose parking brake cable grommet.
9. Front cable.
^ Unclip cable and pull through body.

Front Cable Routing:

Install or Connect
1. Front cable.
^ Secure grommet to body.
^ Clip cable at kick panel.
2. Cable to lever assembly. (1)
3. Cable to connector at left rear cable.
4. Lever assembly. (1)
5. Cowl side panel screws.
6. Step trim plate.
7. Release cable to lever assembly.
8. Adjust parking brake cable. Refer to Parking Brake Cable, Adjustments. Adjustments

Booster Pushrod Mounting:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable. Refer to Starting and Charging.
2. Retainer from brake pedal pin.
3. Switch and pushrod from brake pedal pin.



4. Electrical connector.

Install or Connect
1. Electrical connector.
2. Switch and pushrod on brake pedal pin.
3. Retainer onto brake pedal pin.
4. Negative battery cable
