Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve wiring harness connector.
3. Remove the EGR valve.
4. Remove the EGR valve gasket.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution Safety Glasses Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Clean the EGR valve adapter mating surfaces.
2. Install a new EGR valve gasket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the EGR valve.

Tighten the EGR valve retaining bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

4. Connect the EGR valve wiring harness connector.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
