Ceramic Brake Disc, Replacing

Removing

Replace the bolts - 3 and 8 -.





- Remove brake pads. Refer to => [ Brake Pads ] Brake Pads

- Remove the brake caliper - 5 -. Refer to => [ Brake Caliper ]. Brake Caliper





CAUTION!
Do not hang the brake caliper on the brake hose, but rather tie it to the body with wire.

CAUTION!
Hold the brake disc - 8 - secure when loosening the bolt.

Do not hit the brake disc with force to remove it from the wheel hub.

- Hold the brake disc secure and remove the bolt - 8 -.





When removing the brake disc from the wheel hub, do not tilt the disc.

Installing

Replace the bolts - 3 and 8 -.





- Clean the wheel hub and brake disc before installing.

CAUTION!
Handle the brake disc with care. Replace a damaged brake disc.

- Place the brake disc on the hub.

When positioning the brake disc, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.

CAUTION!
Do not hit the brake disc with force when installing it onto the wheel hub.

- Hold the brake disc secure and tighten the new bolt - 8 - to 9 Nm.





- Tighten the new bolt - 8 - to 9 Nm.

- Carefully place the brake caliper over the brake disc.

- Install the brake caliper with the new bolts - 3 -: 110 Nm.

- Attach the brake hose bracket - 13 - with the bolt - 14 -: 25 Nm.

Brake hose bracket to brake caliper: 25 Nm

Brake hose bracket to crossmember support and suspension: 9 Nm

- Install the brake pads. Refer to => [ Brake Pads ]. Brake Pads

- Install wheels.

- Check brake fluid level, and fill if necessary.

CAUTION!
After the first drive, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.

CAUTION!
Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
