Wiper Arm Linkage

Removing






- Release the hood latch and open hood.

- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Tools and Equipment.

- Remove the wiper arms. Refer to => [ Front Wiper Arm ] Front Wiper Arm.

- Remove the cowl panel..

- Disconnect the wiper module wire connector.

- Remove the wiper module fasteners.

- Remove wiper module and set on bench.

Installing






- Position the wiper module into the cowl.

- Install the bolts that secure the wiper module to the dash. Tighten bolts to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs.).

- Connect the wire harness connector to the wiper module.

- Connect the positive lock on the wiper module wire connector.

- Install the cowl panel..

- Insure the wiper module is in the park position by using the vehicle's wiper switch.

- Install the wiper arms. Refer to => [ Front Wiper Arm ] Front Wiper Arm.

- Align the wiper arms and tighten the nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft lbs). Refer to => [ Front Wiper Arm Alignment ] Adjustments.

- Install the wiper arm nut caps.

- Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Tools and Equipment.

- Close the hood.
