Drive Plate
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Counter holder tool (10-201)
Removing
- Remove engine. Refer to => [ Engine, Removing ] Engine, Removing.
- Separate the engine and transmission. Refer to => [ Separating transmission from engine ] Engine, Removing.
- Leave engine on the scissor lift table (VAS 6131) or secure engine to the assembly stand. Refer to => [ Engine, Securing on Engine and Transmission Holder ] Engine, Securing on Engine and Transmission Holder.
- Insert counter hold tool (10-201) to loosen bolts.
- Mark the installation position of the drive plate to the crankshaft using a felt tip marker.
- Remove drive plate.
- Remove spacer washer behind.
Installing
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
- Install drive plate with spacer washer.
- Use new bolts when securing.
- Turn over counter hold tool (10-201) to tighten bolts.
- Install engine. Refer to => [ Engine, Installing ] Engine, Installing.
