Oil Cooler: Service and Repair

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Old oil collecting and extracting device (VAG 1782)

Removing

- Remove the generator.

- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove generator bracket.





- Remove coolant hoses - 1 - and - 2 - from oil cooler.

- Place old oil collecting and extracting device (VAG 1782) under engine.

- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove oil cooler.





Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Replace O-rings.

• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.

- Install generator.
