Vacuum Pump, Removing and Installing

Removing

Proceed as follows:

- Remove the engine cover => [ Engine Cover, Removing and Installing ] Engine Cover, Removing and Installing.

- Remove the air filter => [ Air Filter, Removing and Installing ] Air Filter, Removing and Installing.

- Remove the high pressure pump using the roller tappet=> [ High Pressure Pump, Removing and Installing ] High Pressure Pump, Removing and Installing.

- Disconnect the ground wire (GND) - 3 - and remove the bolt - 4 -.





- Remove the vacuum hose - 1 - from the vacuum pump.





- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the vacuum pump.





• Do not disassemble the vacuum pump.

Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following:

- Clean the sealing surfaces.

- Install the seal on the vacuum pump, install the 2 bolts and then mount it on the cylinder head.
