Rear Lid

• The roof is closed when removing, installing and adjusting rear lid.

Removing






- Remove the rear lid trim panel.

- Disconnect harness connectors of installed electrical components.

Screws - 5 - on left and right hinges - 2 - are only removed when replacing rear lid. The screws are not removed to remove and install the rear lid.

- Loosen hex nuts - 4 - on left and right hinges - 2 - (do not remove completely).

A second mechanic is required for the rest of the removal procedure.

- Only remove hex nuts - 4 - now.

- Remove the rear lid - 1 - from the hinges - 2 -.

Installation






Install the rear lid - 1 - in reverse order of removal.

- Tightening specification: rear lid - 1 - nuts - 4 - 22 Nm.

- Tightening specification: rear lid - 1 - bolts - 5 - 22 Nm.

- Adjust the rear lid - 1 -: the flush dimension can be adjusted in the oversized holes in the hinge.

• Before the rear lid - 1 - is closed, perform a function test on the unlocking components.
