Bumper Cover, Removing and Installing

Removing



- Remove the bolts - 2 -.
- The bolts - 11 - are located under the cover piece.
- On the bottom side of the cover, loosen the bolts - 9 - to the wheel housing liner and the clips - 10 - to the noise insulation.
- In the wheel housing, remove bolts - 4 - and bolt - 6 -, which points upward.
- Bring the headlamp cleaning system cover into the lock position.
- Reach the bolt - 3 - through the opening in the wheel housing liner using special tool (T 10113).
- With a second technician, pull the cover parallel out of the guides.
- Disconnect the parking assist connector � Electrical Equipment 94 Parking Aid
- Disconnect any additional connectors from the electrical components.

Installing



- Follow the sequence when tightening the bolts.
- Tighten bolt - 3 - first.
- Then tighten both outer bolts in the group of bolts marked - 2 -, and then the four middle bolts in that group.
- Next, tighten bolts - 6 -, which point upward in the wheel housing, and bolts - 11 -.
- After that, there is no specified tightening sequence for the remaining bolts and clips.
