Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
NOTE:- Always replace seals.
- Do not reuse hydraulic oil that has been drained.
1- Bracket
- On vehicles equipped with A/C, the bracket can only be removed after first removing the A/C compressor bracket
2- Socket-head bolt
- M8 x 30
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
3- Bolt
- M8 x 28
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
4- Socket-head bolt
- M8 x 38
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
5- Washer
6- Bolt
- M8 x 20
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
7- Socket-head bolt
- M8 x 30
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
8- Socket-head bolt
- M8 x 30
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
9- Hex bolt
- M8 x 30
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
10- Socket-head bolt
- M8 x 20
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
11- Socket-head bolt
- M8 x 30
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
12- Hex bolt
- M8 x 30
- Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.)
13- Pulley
14- Socket-head bolt
- Tighten to: 20 Nm (15 ft. lb.)
- Counter hold using 10 mm hex wrench in hub. It may be necessary to reduce the hex wrench to 9.5 mm
15- Ribbed belt
- Tensioned by spring-operated roller
16- Suction hose
17- Hose clamp
18- Sealing ring
19- Pressure line
20- Banjo bolt
- Tighten to: 30 Nm (22 ft. lb.)
21- Power steering pump
- Delivery pressure: 85-95 bar (1233-1378 psi)
- Fill with oil before installing
22- Mounting bracket
- No longer supplied as replacement part; bracket -1- supplied instead
- On vehicles equipped with A/C, the mounting bracket can only he removed after first removing the A/C compressor bracket
