Air Distribution/Evaporator Housing
WARNING: Automotive refrigerant containing CFC's is hazardous to the earths atmosphere. To protect our environment use an Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved refrigerant recovery/recycling unit such as Kent-Moore ACR3, or equivalent, whenever discharging an A/C system.
Note:
- Remove air distribution and evaporator housing to replace components identified with an *.
- Remove instrument panel before removing evaporator or heater core. Service and Repair

flaps cannot be replaced separately

replace coolant if heater core is replaced

insert thermostat sensing tube guide before installing
4* - Intake air duct
coat sealing surface with silicone rubber sealant (locally available)
5* - Seal
coat sealing surface with silicone rubber sealant (locally available)
6* - Evaporator housing (upper)
coat sealing surface with silicone rubber sealant (locally available)
7 - Fresh air blower series resistance, N23
includes overheat fuse
8* - Intake air ring
9* - Fresh air/recirculation flap vacuum servo
insert rod into servo 58 mm (2.3 in.) before installing
10 - Fresh air blower housing
coat sealing surface with silicone rubber sealant (locally available)
11 - Fresh air blower, V2
12 - A/C thermostat, E33
- insert sensing tube into evaporator, 330 mm (13.0 in.)
- removing/installing, Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch
