BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE BOOSTER: REMOVAL
NOTICE:
Make sure to release vacuum from the brake booster assembly before removing the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.
1. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Removal
2. SEPARATE NO. 1 HOSE TO HOSE TUBE (for 2AR-FE)
(a) Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 hose to hose tube from the brake booster assembly.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and separate the No. 1 hose to hose tube.
3. DISCONNECT UNION TO CHECK VALVE HOSE (for 2GR-FE)
(a) Slide the clip and disconnect the union to check valve hose from the brake booster assembly.
4. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN Removal
5. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly from the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
Do not kink or damage the brake lines.
6. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
(a) Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster assembly.
7. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
(a) Loosen the lock nut and remove the brake master cylinder push rod clevis and lock nut from the brake booster assembly.
8. REMOVE BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the brake vacuum check valve assembly from the brake booster assembly.
9. REMOVE CHECK VALVE GROMMET
(a) Remove the check valve grommet from the brake booster assembly.
