Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

2GR-FE STARTING: SMART KEY SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus : Body Electrical / Main body / Trouble Code.

(e) Read the DTC by following the prompts on the tester screen.

2. CLEAR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Trouble Code.

(e) Erase the DTC by following the directions on the tester screen.
