Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Throttle Body:

REPLACEMENT
1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP




3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY
a. Disconnect the throttle control motor connector.
b. Disconnect the 2 water bypass hoses from the throttle body.
c. Disconnect the EVAP hose from the throttle body.
d. Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the throttle body from the intake manifold.
e. Remove the gasket.

4. REINSTALL THROTTLE BODY
a. Install a new gasket and the throttle body with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 30 N.m (305 kgf.cm, 22 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the EVAP hose to the throttle body.
c. Connect the 2 water bypass hoses to the throttle body.
d. Connect the throttle control motor connector.

5. REINSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP
6. REFILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT
7. START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS
