AUTO LSD Indicator Light does not Come ON
DESCRIPTION
Operation of the VSC OFF switch changes the vehicle from normal mode to AUTO LSD mode (TRAC OFF mode) to VSC OFF mode. During normal mode, pressing the VSC OFF switch for a short amount of time changes vehicle to AUTO LSD mode (TRAC OFF mode). During AUTO LSD mode (TRAC OFF mode), the combination meter's AUTO LSD indicator light and slip indicator light illuminate, the AUTO LSD becomes inoperable, and TRAC operation is disabled.
HINT: The AUTO LSD does not operate even if the VSC OFF switch is pressed under the following conditions:
- TRAC or VSC system is faulty.
- Temperature inside the hydraulic brake booster increases and the AUTO LSD operation is suspended.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK AUTO LSD INDICATOR LIGHT
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(c) Ground terminal INFR of the skid control ECU.
(d) Check the AUTO LSD indicator light.
OK:
(e) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
(f) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
OK -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the combination meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance.
Standard:
(d) Reconnect the combination meter connector.
(e) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Check the combination meter system (How To Proceed With Troubleshooting).
OK:
Combination meter is normal.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (CSW TERMINAL)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Ground terminal CSW of the skid control ECU.
Standard:
(c) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
OK -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID
NG -- Continue to next step.
5. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH
(a) Remove the VSC OFF switch.
(b) Disconnect the VSC OFF switch connector.
(c) Measure resistance.
Standard:
(d) Reconnect the VSC OFF switch connector.
(e) Reinstall the VSC OFF switch.
NG -- REPLACE VSC OFF SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VSC OFF SWITCH CIRCUIT)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector and the VSC OFF switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance.
Standard:
(c) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector and the VSC OFF switch connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the combination meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance.
Standard:
(d) Reconnect the combination meter connector.
(e) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
8. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Check the combination meter system (Problem Symptoms Table).
OK:
Combination meter is normal.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
