2UZ-FE BATTERY / CHARGING: GENERATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Replacement

3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Removal

6. DISCONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY






(a) Disconnect the generator assembly connector.
(b) Remove the terminal cap and nut, and disconnect the generator wire.
(c) Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness bracket from the generator assembly.






(d) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and generator assembly.
