Disassembly

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: FRONT AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE LOWER DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the nozzle.

2. REMOVE NO. 3 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the air duct.

3. REMOVE AIR FILTER COVER PLATE
(a) Disengage the 2 clips and remove the air filter cover plate.

4. REMOVE AIR REFINER ELEMENT
(a) Remove the air refiner element.
5. REMOVE TRANSPONDER KEY BRACKET (w/ Bracket) Removal

6. REMOVE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY
(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the transponder key ECU.

7. REMOVE COOLER AIR HOSE
(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cooler air hose.

8. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the screw and the air duct.

9. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and the amplifier.

10. REMOVE BLOWER WITH FAN MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 screws and the fan motor.

11. REMOVE AIR DUCT
(a) Remove the 2 screws and the air duct.

12. REMOVE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(b) Remove the 4 screws and damper servo.

13. REMOVE DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 3 screws and the damper servo.

14. REMOVE BLOWER DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 3 screws and damper servo.

15. REMOVE COOLING UNIT DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 3 screws and damper servo.
16. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the clamp.
(b) Remove the 3 screws and plate.

(d) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the heater clamp.

(e) Remove the 6 screws.
(f) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the air conditioning radiator.
17. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the heater radiator unit.
18. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the evaporator from the blower case.
19. REMOVE EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR Removal

20. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE
(a) Remove the butyl.
(b) Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts.
(c) Remove the tube and accessory and the 2 O-rings.
(d) Remove the cooler expansion valve and 2 O-rings from the cooler evaporator.
