Stabilizer Shaft Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Scribe a line on the rear camber adjust bolts (both left and right).
3. Remove the rear axle toe link. Refer to Toe Link Replacement (Toe Link Replacement) .
4. Remove the rear axle tie rod bracket brace. Refer to Rear Axle Tie Rod Bracket Brace Replacement (Rear Axle Tie Rod Bracket Brace Replacement) .
5. Remove the muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement (3.6L, 3.9L) Muffler Replacement (2.4L, 3.5L, and 3.9L) .
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket bolts.
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators from the stabilizer shaft.
8. Remove the stabilizer link to knuckle bolts.
9. Remove the stabilizer shaft.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators.
3. Install the stabilizer shaft brackets.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .
4. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket bolts.
Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket retaining bolts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
5. Install the stabilizer shaft links to knuckle bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).
6. Install the rear axle toe link. Refer to Toe Link Replacement (Toe Link Replacement) .
7. Install the rear axle tie rod bracket brace. Refer to Rear Axle Tie Rod Bracket Brace Replacement (Rear Axle Tie Rod Bracket Brace Replacement) .
8. Install the muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement (3.6L, 3.9L) Muffler Replacement (2.4L, 3.5L, and 3.9L) .
9. Lower the vehicle.
