Rear Seat Back Replacement (Split Folding Seatback)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement).
2. Remove the seat back anchor nuts.




3. Swing down both halves of the rear seat back.
4. Remove the seat back striker bolts.
5. Remove the seat back cables from the trunk.
6. Remove the seat back from the vehicle.


Installation Procedure

Important: Make sure the rear split folding seat back cables are not pinched between the seat back and the vehicle.






1. Install the rear split folding seat back to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the rear split folding seat back striker bolts.

Tighten the seat back striker bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Swing up both halves of the seat back.
4. Install the seat back anchor nuts.

Tighten the seat back anchor nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement).
6. Install the seat back cables to the trunk.
