Front Seat Power Recliner Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement).




2. Open the J-retainers on both sides of the seat cushion cover.




3. Remove the recliner to seat cushion frame roll pins. Discard the old roll pins.
4. Remove the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
5. Remove the recliner from the seat cushion frame.


Installation Procedure




1. Install the recliner to the seat cushion frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.

Tighten the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the recliner to seat cushion frame roll pins. Use new roll pins.




4. Close the J-retainers on both side of the seat cushion cover.
5. Install the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement).
