Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Open the fuel filler door.
2. Remove the fuel filler cap and tether from the fuel filler door.
3. Remove the fuel filler pocket to fuel filler neck bolts.




4. Remove the fuel filler door actuator.Refer to Body Rear End Schematic Icons (Electrical Symbols)
5. Remove the fuel filler door actuator cable from the fuel filler pocket.
6. Apply protective tape to the opening around the top of the fuel filler pocket




7. Use a small flat bladed tool to press down and out from the top edge of the fuel filler pocket to remove from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the fuel filler pocket to the vehicle.
2. Install the fuel filler door actuator.Refer to Body Rear End Schematic Icons (Electrical Symbols)
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the fuel filler door actuator cable to the fuel filler pocket nut.

Tighten the fuel filler door actuator cable to fuel filler pocket nut to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




4. Install the fuel filler pocket to fuel filler neck.Apply pressure until fully seated.
5. Install the fuel filler pocket to fuel filler neck bolts.

Tighten the fuel filler neck bolts to 5 Nm (44 lb in).




6. Install the fuel filler cap and tether to the fuel filler door.
7. Close the fuel filler door.
