F: Serial Data Link Test

Connect a Scan tool to ALDL. Follow manufacturer's instructions to scan Engine RPM, Volts, Coolant Temperature and Base Pulse Width. Can all these values be scanned and are the values correct? See Computers and Control Systems for typical values.

^ If values are correct, check the ORN (461) wire between S144 and the Driver Information System. If OK, replace the Driver Information System (DIS).
