C: Air Valve Test

1. Disconnect the ECC Programmer vacuum hose connector. Using a hand vacuum pump, apply 15 Hg of vacuum to each of the actuators while observing the actuator linkage for movement and binding.

^ If an actuator holds vacuum but doesn't move, check actuator linkage and mode valve door for binding.

^ if an actuator line does not hold vacuum, check vacuum hose for leaks, kinks and restrictions If hoses are OK, replace actuator.

^ If all actuators operate properly without any binding, check the PPL hose for vacuum while the engine is running. If the PPL hose is good, replace the ECC Programmer.
