2. Air Outlet Control Knob Moves, A/C Damper Motor Inoperative

When the air outlet changeover control knob is move to DEFROSTER or DEFROSTER/FOOT position, the air conditioning or the inside/outside air changeover damper motor does not operate.

DIAGNOSIS










STEP 1. Check the inside/outside air damper controller continuity. <1999 models>

NOTE: Battery voltage should be supplied when the air outlet changeover knob is at the defroster or defroster/foot position.

If incorrect, replace. Then go to Step 4.
If correct, go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check the defroster switch continuity.

<2000 models>
If incorrect, replace. Then go to Step 4.
If correct, go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check each A/C part.
Refer to Inspection Procedure 1. Then go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Check symptoms.
Check that the AC operates correctly.
