Inspection Procedure 4
CIRCUIT OPERATION
- The door lock actuator switches send the lock or unlock signal to the ETACS-ECU.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)
- The ETACS-ECU accepts a signal from the theft-alarm system when the door lock actuator switches are in the lock position.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
- Malfunction of the door lock actuator switch

STEP 7. Check the harness wires between front door lock actuator switch connector (RH) E-07 and ETACS-ECU connector C-81.
If the harness wires between the front door lock actuator switch (RH) and the ETACS-ECU are damaged, repair them. Check that the malfunction is eliminated.
If the harness wires are in good condition, go to Step 8.
NOTE: After inspecting intermediate connectors C-69 and C-72, inspect the wire. If intermediate connectors C-67 and C-72 are damaged, repair or replace them. Refer to Harness Connector Inspection.
STEP 8. Check the harness wires between front door lock actuator switch connector (RH) E-07 and body ground.
If the harness wires between front door lock actuator switch connector (RH) E-07 and body ground are damaged, repair them. Check that the malfunction is eliminated.
If the harness wires are in good condition, replace the ETACS-ECU and go to Step 9.
NOTE: After inspecting intermediate connector 0-72, inspect the wire. If intermediate connector 0-72 is damaged, repair or replace it. Refer to Harness Connector Inspection.
STEP 9. Check the rear door lock actuator switch (LH).
1. Remove the door latch assembly
2. Check for continuity when the rear door lock actuator switch is in the lock or unlock position.
If the front door lock actuator switch (LH) is not damaged, go to Step 10.
STEP 10. Check the rear door lock actuator switch connector (LH) E-11 for damage.
If harness connector E-11 is damaged, repair or replace it.
Refer to Harness Connection Inspection. If harness connector E-11 is in good condition, go to Step 11.
STEP 11. Check the harness wires between rear door lock actuator switch connector (LH) E-11 and ETACS-ECU connector C-81.
If the harness wires between the rear door lock actuator switch (LH) and ETACS-ECU are damaged, repair them. Check that the malfunction is eliminated.
If the harness wires are in good condition, go to Step 12.
NOTE: After inspecting intermediate connectors C-67 and D-19 inspect the wire. If intermediate connectors C-67 and D-19 are damaged, repair or replace them. Refer to, Harness Connector Inspection.
