DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tool:
MB991223: Harness Set
STEP 1. Check the power supply line at the power window main switch connector E-16.
1. Remove the power window main switch.
2. Measure at the harness side the voltage between terminal 13 and ground when the ignition switch is turned ON.
- Voltage should be approximately 12 volts (battery positive voltage).
If not approximately 12 volts, go to Step 2. If approximately 12 volts, go to Step 3.
STEP 2. Check the harness wire between rear power window main switch connector E-16 and intermediate connector C-67.
If the harness wire between power window main switch connector E-16 and intermediate connector C-67 is damaged, repair it. Then go to Step 3.
NOTE: After inspecting intermediate connector C-68, inspect the wire. If intermediate connector C-68 is damaged, repair or replace it. Refer to Harness Connector Inspection. Then go to Step 3.
STEP 3. Check symptoms.
Confirm that all door windows can be opened or closed by the power window main switch on the driver's door.
