5: ABS Lamp Turns Off Too Soon With Key On Engine Off

NOTE: The ABS-ECU monitors the voltage of the generator "L" terminal, and when the engine is not running, the voltage of the "L" terminal is low, and thus the ABS warning lamp illuminates.

Hint:
When the ignition key is turned "ON" and the lamp turns "OFF" after the initial check (about 1.0 seconds,) there is a problem in the ABS warning lamp illumination function, resulting from the generator "L" terminal monitor.

Probable cause:
- Combination meter fault.
- Malfunction of the ABS-ECU.
- Harness fault.
- Malfunction of the ABS valve relay.

NOTE: This trouble symptom is limited to cases where communication with the scan tool is possible (ABS-ECU power supply normal) and no diagnostic trouble code is displayed.
