Heater Blower Motor and Blower Motor Wheel Assembly
REMOVAL1. Working in RH wheel opening, remove three nuts securing radiator coolant recovery reservoir to fender splash panel and move radiator coolant recovery reservoir away from blower motor.
2. Disconnect blower motor from main wiring harness at the snap-lock connector.
3. Depress locking tab and slide two harness connectors from face of blower motor.
4. Remove hood lamp connector and harness from side of blower motor.
5. Remove the blower motor housing tube from the blower motor.
6. Remove the four retaining screws (two upper and two lower) from the blower motor mounting plate. Remove wiring support bracket.
7. Turn the blower motor and A/C blower wheel assembly slightly to the right so the bottom edge of the mounting plate follows the contour of the front fender splash panel. While still in the A/C evaporator core housing, lift the blower motor and A/C blower wheel assembly up and maneuver it out of the A/C evaporator core housing.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the blower motor and A/C blower wheel assembly into the A/C evaporator core housing by tilting it to the right so the bottom edge of the mounting plate follows the contour of the front fender splash panel. Maneuver the assembly past the front fender splash panel and into the top portion of the housing opening, then down into position.
2. Install wiring support bracket to blower motor and install the four retaining screws (two upper and two lower).
3. Install wiring connectors and harness.
4. Attach the blower motor housing tube to the blower motor.
5. Connect main wiring harness connector to blower motor.
6. Install radiator coolant recovery reservoir on fender splash panel with three retaining nuts tightened to 5.5-7.0 N.m (49-61 lb-in).
7. Check the system for proper A/C blower motor operation.
