Fuel Tank Pressure Release Valve: Testing and Inspection

TANK PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE (TPCV) INSPECTION


1. Remove the TPCV. (Refer to EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM, SERVICE AND REPAIR/FUEL TANK AREA.)
2. Apply pressure or vacuum to port A of the valve by using a vacuum pump, and inspect the air flow.




3. Apply battery positive voltage to the valve connector and apply pressure to port A, and verity that air flows smoothly.




4. If not as specified, replace the TPCV.
