Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Testing and Inspection

PCV VALVE INSPECTION

1. Start the engine and let it idle.
2. Disconnect the PCV valve from the cylinder head cover.




3. Block the valve opening by hand and verify that vacuum is felt.
4. If not, inspect the PCV hose for clogging and damage. If the hose is okay, replace the PCV valve.
