Metering Oil Pump Position Sensor Testing:

MECHANICAL COMPONENT RELATED PROBLEMS

Excessive oil consumption can be caused by metering oil pump malfunctions as well as other problems. Before replacing the pump, check for engine oil leaks and perform electrical inspections on the malfunction code chart.
