DTC 09

1. Check connections of atmospheric pressure sensor electrical connectors, repairing or replacing as necessary.
2. If connections are satisfactory, check for battery voltage at ``A'' terminal of atmospheric pressure sensor connector.
3. If battery voltage is not available, check for open circuit in wiring harness from main relay to the atmospheric pressure sensor.
4. If there is battery voltage, check voltage at ``D'' terminal of atmospheric pressure sensor connector.
5. If voltage is not 4.5-5.5 volts, there is short circuit in wiring harness from ``D'' terminal of atmospheric pressure sensor to EGI control unit or EGI control unit is defective.
6. If voltage is 4.5-5.5 volts, measure voltage at ``2H'' terminal of EGI control unit.
7. If voltage is greater than 4.9 volts, check for open circuit of ground harness or open circuit in wiring harness from ``B'' terminal of atmospheric pressure sensor connector to ``2H'' terminal of EGI control unit.
8. If voltage is less than 1.4 volts, check for short circuit in wiring harness connected to atmospheric pressure sensor or open circuit in wiring harness from ``D'' terminal of atmospheric pressure sensor connector to ``2A'' terminal of EGI control unit.
9. If voltage is 1.4-4.9 volts, EGI control unit is defective.
